Key Responsibilities:
Surveying & Setting Out:
Conduct
topographical, boundary, and construction site surveys
using total stations, auto levels, GPS, and other instruments.
Carry out
setting out works
for roads, buildings, foundations, pipelines, and other civil structures as per approved drawings.
Verify
levels, coordinates, and alignments
before construction activities.
Establish and maintain
control points, benchmarks, and reference lines
on site.
Data Recording & Documentation:
Record all survey data, levels, and coordinates accurately for daily site progress and quality documentation.
Prepare
as-built drawings and survey reports
for submission and verification.
Maintain
field books, calibration records, and instrument logs
.
Coordination & Quality Control:
Coordinate with
site engineers, planning, and quality teams
to ensure accuracy in execution.
Check and verify subcontractors' survey work to ensure compliance with project standards.
Report discrepancies or design variations to the Site Engineer / Project Manager.
Instrument Handling & Maintenance:
Ensure
proper use, calibration, and maintenance
of survey instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, etc.
Maintain inventory of
survey tools and accessories
.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all
site safety protocols and company policies
during field operations.
Ensure survey works comply with
project specifications, standards, and codes
.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
3-8 years of experience as a
Surveyor
in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in
Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and survey software
(e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Strong understanding of
surveying principles, coordinate systems, and leveling techniques
.
Ability to interpret
civil and structural drawings
.
Soft Skills:
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
