The Surveyor is responsible for conducting land, site, and construction surveys to determine property boundaries, elevations, and measurements. The role ensures accuracy of data for planning, design, and construction activities in compliance with legal and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys
Measure distances, angles, and elevations using surveying instruments (total station, GPS, levels, etc.)
Prepare and maintain survey reports, maps, drawings, and field notes
Verify property boundaries and resolve discrepancies with records and legal documents
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers
Set out points, lines, and levels for construction works
Ensure surveys comply with local regulations and safety standards
Inspect and maintain surveying equipment
Assist in resolving site-related issues and provide technical guidance
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Licensed/Certified Surveyor (where required by local regulations)
Proven experience in land or construction surveying
Proficiency in surveying instruments and relevant software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, etc.)
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites
Experience
2-5 years of relevant surveying experience (may vary by project needs)
Work Conditions
Field-based with exposure to outdoor environments
May require extended working hours based on project requirements
