Job Description

Role: Surface Grinder

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

Setting up and operating surface grinding machines (both horizontal and vertical spindle types) to grind flat, conical, or other specified surfaces.

Material Removal:

Precisely removing metal from workpieces to achieve desired dimensions and surface finish by applying abrasive grinding wheels.

Tooling and Fixturing:

Selecting, mounting, and adjusting grinding wheels, and setting up fixtures for holding the workpiece.

Parameter Setting:

Adjusting machine settings like speed, feed rate, and depth of cut based on the workpiece material and desired finish.

Inspection:

Using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and surface finish of ground parts.

Quality Control:

Identifying and reporting any defects or deviations from specifications, and working with quality control to resolve issues.

Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance on the grinding machine, including lubrication, coolant checks, and wheel dressing.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
