Position: Textile Development - Surface Embroidery

Location: Surat

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional specializing in Surface Embroidery Development for the fashion domain. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of embroidery techniques, materials, and processes, along with a creative mindset to develop innovative embroidery concepts for high-fashion collections.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and create embroidery artworks, motifs, placements, and techniques for ethnic wear, couture, and contemporary collections. Work closely with the design team to translate concepts into embroidery swatches, samples, and final production-ready designs. Innovate with threads, beads, sequins, zari, stitches, and materials to create new textures and techniques. Collaborate with embroidery units, karigars, and vendors to ensure accurate execution of designs. Oversee sampling, quality control, and finishing of embroidery surfaces. Research and stay updated on emerging embroidery trends, materials, and technologies in fashion. Maintain clear documentation of artworks, swatches, costing sheets, and production notes. Ensure timely development of embroidery samples as per the seasonal calendar and brand requirements.
Desired Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of embroidery techniques, materials, surface ornamentation, and fashion detailing. Proficiency in creating manual and digital embroidery artworks (Illustrator/Photoshop preferred). Experience working with artisans, hand-embroidery units, Aari/Zardozi, and machine embroidery techniques. Excellent sense of color, texture, pattern, and craftsmanship. Prior experience in ethnic wear, bridal wear, luxury, or contemporary fashion preferred. Strong communication and coordination skills to work with designers and production teams. Attention to detail and ability to work within timelines.
