SECTION III: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsible to provide complete support for driving the plant production activities shift wise.
SECTION IV: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Production Operations

  • Respnsible for assisting in programming of Hydraulics and power presses, normalizing, grinding, etc
  • Hands on experiance of gear manufactueing processes (Ring forming - Coiling, Butt welding,Normalizing, stretching cum flatnining process.etc.)
  • Hands on experiance of final inspection -Multigauges & Visual inspection, MPI etc.
  • Undertakes responsibility to look after the production activities in a particular section of the manufacturing process so as to match the production requirements
  • Assists in organizing production according on shop floor as per demand and quality standards and ensures goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
  • Respnsible to provides complete support for driving the plant production activities
  • Respnsible for co-ordinating with quality & engineering for production related issues
  • Respnsible for execution of plans the manufacturing process qualification and validation as appropriate
Production Planning & Scheduling
Determines equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production and Plans and prioritizes operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Plans work flow and schedules for production departments.
Drives Production planning as per Customer requirements in coordination with PPC department for daily / monthly dispatches.
  • Respnsible for managing daily/weekly/monthly production planning & inventory reports preparation & communication of the same to stake holders
Production Control.
Monitors production status and ensures timely delivery.
  • Responsible for manpowerhandling & multiskilling.
  • Responsible for Bottleneck mc shiftwise OEE, Rejection rework monitoring of mfg proceses.
  • Responsible for Bottleneck machines - shiftwise OEE, Rejection & rework analysis and action plan
  • Responsible for per man per day out put as per cycle time.
  • Responsible 5S activity.
  • Responsible to educate & train new manpower recruited at work stations
  • To implement improvements as a kaizens.
  • Responsible for addressing issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Respnsible for smooth flow of input material & delivery to internal customers by maintaining a good balance between supply and demand.
Stakeholder Relationship
  • Responsible for establishing working relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. manufacturing team, engineering, quality, supply chain and logistic, sales & marketing teams.
MIS & Analysis
  • Accountalble for preparing actual production analysis report in online system, reporting shift wise
Process optimization & Productivity Improvement
Evaluates existing manufacturing processes and identifies areas for improvement to minimize cost and maximize throughput and efficiency.
  • Respnsible for implementing the tools and methods for increasing productivity
Manufacturing Cost Optimization
  • Accountable for assists setion incharge to drive spending and cost reduction, implements cost saving measures, while maximizing business value by standardizing, simplifying and rationalizing platforms, applications, processes and services.
  • Respnsible for documentation of processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives as per IATF, ISO standard
  • Undertakes responsibility for manufacturing & product quality as per compliance with periodic QMS, process & product audits.
Continous Improvement
  • Becoe a key person on shop floor for implementing initiatives focused on the reduction or elimination of waste in all areas of manufacturing
  • Undertakes responsibility for reduction in rejection and rework in cordination with quality team
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Ensures adherence to all HSE compliances to ensure safety practices throughout the plant and drive zero accident culture.

Education Qualification B.E / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Technical & Professional Knowledge required

  • SPC ( Process capability )
  • Excel , word Microsoft
  • CNC Programming or CNC controlled machine operating
  • Instrument Calibration
  • Heat Treatment process like Hardening ,Tempering
  • Industry 4.0 (IIOT) - Production monitoring and respective analysis
Experience required
(What someone NEEDS TO HAVE DONE) 0 to 2 years hard core experience in maintenance of modern equipment's and systematic machine & utility installation
