POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is required to be a team player in highly demanding Supply Chain Org, responsible for all aspects of Material Planning. Demonstrates and provides Supply planning leadership at Bangalore facility within factory and GSCM organizations. Establishes methodologies with proven cross functional facilitation within operational projects and required to be a Holistic thinker focused on systems/process improvement for business needs in FDA facility. Experienced in SAP with proven track record in establishing workflows and utilization. Experienced in planning and/or science environment by formal education or work experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees master schedules for production and new product, ensuring comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Incorporate in forecasts and master production schedules.
  • Manges Intercompany and Intracompany "Stock Transfer Orders" STO Management.
  • Proven experience in handling global transactions with knowledge of Import , Export and Local transactions.
  • SAP planning expertise. Determines ERP driven material requirements and creates production execution schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels.
  • SAP planning expertise. Help set up appropriate structure and test new SAP implementation at new factory - reflecting other manufacturing sites.
  • Incorporate new products or product improvements into the manufacturing forecasts and master production schedules.
  • Executes master production schedules relative to shelf life, inventory guidelines and requirements.
  • Executes manufacturing Purchase Orders for critical product work centers.
  • Proven capable of providing analyses and using judgement to assess options. Expectation of concise communication with senior leaders to highlight issues and solutions with supporting data

  • Determines ERP driven material requirements and creates production execution schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels.
  • Develop and facilitate proposals, to support organizing and conducting relevant, concise, data driven, professional presentations to leadership with recommendations.
  • Create graphical scorecards supporting bowlers - summarizing information of what really matters
  • Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Drives cost savings quality improvement projects and innovation.
  • Manage finished goods inventory to meet agreed-upon customer service requirements.
  • Minimize inventory write-offs of finished goods inventory, intermediates and raw materials.
  • Develop statistical models for predictive analytics as well as historical trending.
  • Partnership with engineering plans and production constrains to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains supply system as assigned to ensure uninterrupted supply of required materials.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with internal and external stake holder for prompt resolution of supply, quality or delivery problems.
  • Actively engages with operations team and provides a high level of responsiveness and communication as it pertains to supply chain needs
  • Understands and appropriately manages inventory for new product, transitioning and discontinued product lines
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills by working independently and engaging appropriate cross functional teams to address vendor/part issues.
  • Assists with action plans, root cause and countermeasures for objectives.
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
  • Proactively request for trainings that are required to improve the existing job performance or as a part of development plan.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Preferably Industrial Engineering)
  • 10 to 15 years' experience in Supply Chain with minimum 5 years in Production Control, Planning in SAP environment preferably in Med Tech Industry.
Knowledge and skills:
  • Prefer coursework in Operations or Analytics.
  • Experience working with SAP or other inventory management systems.
  • Experience with SOP's, MES, and ERP strong benefit
  • Candidate should be strong in Microsoft Word and Excel (pivot tables & v-look up.) SQL and Visio experience valued.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of Planning "best practices" including but not limited to - Supplier PULL systems, VMI, STO process, Materials Management , MRP , Forecasting and Production Work Order processes.
  • Knowledge ideally within the IVD / Med-Tech industry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • A self-motivated, dynamic, systems thinking professional with the ability to organize and plan to deliver the required business goals and objectives.
  • Experience with working on planning activities in "Manufacturing site Project Start-up" & "Manufacturing site Production phase".
  • Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Ability to facilitate and effectively hold meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Travel as required
Physical requirements/abilities:
  • Must be able to work at manufacturing sites (brown field & green field sites) in project and live sites.
  • Domestic and International travel as required
Other:
  • Readiness for Short travel & stays between 2 facilities - Chennai & Bangalore & Overseas
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • SCM Certifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Med-Tech industry in India.
  • Experience with conversion of Global and Local transactions
  • Valid US Visa
  • SAP experience
