Job Description

1. Role Summary

Ensure uninterrupted availability of medical and non-medical supplies for all 108 ambulances. Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, storage, and distribution. Maintain cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance across all supply processes.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Procurement

Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for medical consumables, drugs, equipment, and vehicle spares. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements. Ensure materials meet quality and regulatory standards. Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply issues.

B. Inventory Management

Maintain optimal stock levels at central and regional warehouses. Track consumption trends and forecast material requirements. Implement FIFO/FEFO systems to reduce expiry and wastage. Ensure safe storage of medical items, pharmaceutical products, and oxygen cylinders.

C. Logistics & Distribution

Plan and execute timely distribution of supplies to all ambulance stations. Coordinate with operations teams for replenishment needs. Optimize transportation routes to reduce cost and time. Manage fuel cards, track usage, and control pilferage.

D. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate purchase orders, inventory data, GRNs, and distribution records. Ensure compliance with NHM/NABH standards for medical supplies. Support internal and external audits. Monitor batch numbers, expiry dates, and safety guidelines.

E. Process Improvement

Implement ERP/inventory management software for real-time tracking. Introduce automation to improve accuracy and efficiency. Analyze KPIs and suggest improvements to reduce operational costs. Develop SOPs for procurement, warehousing, and distribution.

F. Coordination

Work closely with Operations, Fleet, Finance, and Medical teams. Provide MIS reports on stock levels, consumption, and budget utilization. Train staff on warehouse and supply chain processes. Candidate should have knowledge in SAP
