Role Overview



The Supply Chain Management Specialist will provide technical expertise in designing, analyzing, and strengthening supply chains, with a focus on livelihoods, agricultural value chains, and market linkages. The role will support project planning, implementation, and evaluation to improve efficiency, sustainability, and market access for producers and enterprises.

Key Responsibilities



Analyze existing supply chains and value chains in agriculture, livelihoods, and allied sectors Support development and strengthening of market linkages for producers, cooperatives, and enterprises Provide technical inputs for improving procurement, storage, transportation, and distribution systems Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies within supply chains and recommend practical solutions Support design and implementation of value chain development interventions Contribute to project assessments, baseline studies, and impact evaluations Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation Coordinate with project teams, government stakeholders, and implementing partners Provide advisory support for supply chain optimization and sustainability initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of supply chain and value chain concepts, particularly in agri-based and livelihood sectors Experience in market linkage development and stakeholder coordination Analytical skills for supply chain mapping, diagnostics, and improvement planning Good report writing and presentation skills Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience



Experience working on government, donor-funded, or development-sector projects Exposure to agricultural markets, cooperatives, FPOs, or MSMEs Experience in rural livelihoods or agri-value chain programs
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
