Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage material requirements as per production schedules
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of raw materials, bought-out items, and components
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock
Prepare and track Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow-ups
Coordinate with production, quality, and stores teams for material availability
Support vendor development, evaluation, and cost negotiation
Track inbound and outbound logistics and ensure on-time deliveries
Maintain accurate SCM records, MIS, and documentation
Ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum
2 years of experience
in SCM / Purchase / Planning role
Knowledge of manufacturing materials, BOM, and production processes
Understanding of inventory management, logistics, and vendor coordination
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / ERP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and coordination abilities
