Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all customs clearance activities for imported medical equipment and consumables Prepare and review documents required for import clearance (invoice, packing list, COO, test certificates, etc.). Coordinate with customs clearing agency, freight forwarders and regulatory bodies to ensure timely clearance of shipments. Track and monitor shipments from origin to warehouse and update stakeholders on ETA and clearance status. Ensure HS code classification and duty calculation are accurate. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for spare parts, machines, consumables and accessories. Plan dispatches to customers, branch offices and service engineers. Monitor transit, ensure on-time delivery and handle any shipment delays or logistic issues. Maintain vendor relationships with logistics partners and freight providers. Ensure timely GRN entry after receipt of imported materials. Coordinate with warehouse team for storage, picking, packaging and dispatch activities. Track inventory levels to avoid stock-out or overstock situations. Assist in cycle count and annual stock audit. Maintain import log, stock registers, airway bill details and delivery records. Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory norms (CDSCO, import license requirements if applicable). Process insurance claims in case of damage, loss or transit issues. Support internal and external audits by providing logistics and customs documentation Work closely with the Sales, Service, Finance and Procurement departments to align supply chain activities. Provide timely shipment and stock updates to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's / Masters degree in any specialization (Supply Chain / Commerce / Business Administration preferred). 2-5 years of experience in import/export or supply chain management (medical device / healthcare industry preferred). Knowledge of customs clearance, HS codes, freight terms (Incoterms) and logistics handling. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
