To support end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, vendor management, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and finished goods to meet production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring supply chain operations.
Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, and packaging materials.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels.
Support logistics activities including transportation, freight booking, and documentation.
Monitor inward and outward material flow, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Assist in preparing purchase orders, GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), and related documentation.
Track and resolve supply discrepancies, delays, and quality concerns in coordination with vendors.
Liaise with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and safety standards.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly supply chain reports for management review.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of supply chain management in manufacturing/metal industry.
Understanding of procurement processes, vendor management & logistics.
Good command of MS Excel, ERP/SAP or other supply chain software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering / Commerce or related field.
1-2 years of relevant experience in supply chain / procurement / logistics in the manufacturing industry.
