We are seeking an experienced

Supply Chain Coordinator

with strong exposure to the

spice industry

to manage end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, inventory control, production coordination, logistics, and compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of raw spices, efficient processing, cost optimization, and smooth dispatch while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities



Procurement & Vendor Management



Coordinate procurement of raw spices (chillies, turmeric, pepper, cumin, coriander, etc.) from farmers, traders, and suppliers. Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and compliance. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts and rates. Ensure continuity of supply during seasonal fluctuations.

Inventory & Warehouse Management



Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory. Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. Coordinate proper storage conditions to maintain aroma, color, and quality of spices. Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations.

Production & Planning



Coordinate with production teams to align supply with processing schedules. Prepare production plans based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. Minimize production downtime through effective material planning.

Logistics & Distribution



Coordinate domestic and/or export dispatch of spice products. Manage transporters, freight forwarders, and clearing agents. Ensure on-time delivery to customers while optimizing logistics costs. Track shipments and resolve delivery issues promptly.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation



Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, AGMARK, etc.). Coordinate sampling, testing, and certifications. Maintain proper documentation for procurement, inventory, dispatch, and exports. Support audits and regulatory inspections.

Reporting & Systems



Maintain accurate supply chain records in ERP / inventory management systems. Prepare MIS reports on procurement, inventory, production, and logistics. Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field. 4-5 years of relevant experience in

spice manufacturing or food processing industry

. Strong knowledge of raw spice sourcing, seasonality, and quality parameters. Experience in inventory planning, logistics coordination, and vendor management. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / other SCM tools). Understanding of food safety and export documentation is an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
