Justification: We have maximum Quality issues in sheet metal components like cabinets, busbars, pipes, coils and machining\treatment processes like brazing\welding. We do not have a single qualified Specialist/ mettalurgist in the company who knows metallurgy of Steel, Copper, Aluminium, Brazing alloys, metal treatments etc. and this is a big gap in our knowledge and capability.
Position - Engineer/ Sr. Engineer
Department - Quality (Supplier Quality)
Reports to - Manager, QA
Minimum Academic Qualification - BE - Mechanical
Certification & Experience -

• Certified Internal / Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 and EMS 14001:2004
• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Working knowledge of Quality Tools (SPC, PPAP, FMEA, NPD, etc...)
• Quality process Audits
• Quality inspection standards

Minimum Working Experience - 3-4 yrs
Location - Ambernath
Travel - Frequent travel required for vendor audits and inspection
Skill Set * Analytical skills

• Good Communication and presentation Skills
• Good understanding of sheet metal Fabrication process (Shearing, Punching, Forming, Bending, Press fitting, Drilling etc assemblies)
• Knowledge of pre-treatment and powder coating processes
• Knowledge on Tin, Zinc, Copper plating processes
• Conversant with Indian and International standards on metals with regards to chemical and physical properties.
• Knowledge on Welding & Brazing processes , ASNT NDT level 2 certification preferred.

Roles & Responsibility- * Ensure defect free products from supplier and ensure line productivity

• New Supplier Audits -- Evaluation, selection and Improvement.
• Existing supplier Audits and Improvements.
• Help suppliers to Conduct PPAPs.
• QMS Training to Suppliers.
• Do RCA and CAPA verification for supplier issues.
• Continuous Improvement of supplier processes.
• Preparing MIS on supplier score card.
