Job Description


Summary The Supplier Quality Inspector demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Implication in ITO (tender) process and fully involved in OTR process (Order to delivery oriented)
  • Two-in team with sourcing / One face at supplier and internally all along project execution (Quality & Technical)
  • Lead supplier Inspector Qualification
  • Perform Inspection / Expediting / Surveillance @ supplier
  • Lead Databook completion


Accountabilities / Responsivities:

Overall
  • Manage supplier Inspection activities to ensure the quality of assigned Commodity components.
  • Be the technical focal point to coordinate Sourcing, Design & Materials Management functions while interfacing with suppliers.
  • Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements
  • Two-in Team with Sourcing / One Face at supplier all along projects execution / Internal interfaces with Inspector, Expeditor, Procurement Specialist, Engineering, and Industrialization...
  • From Order to Delivery oriented fully accountable of quality & technical topics
  • Strong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation
  • Manage inspection to be performed along part manufacturing (including Customer inspection)
  • Ensure the inspections are performed according to MPP/ Design requirements and issue the respective inspection and test reports.
  • Ensure the inspection & test records against the MPP requirement and send them to the data book as soon as the inspection and tests is performed and finished.
  • Review preliminary documents and built the product quality data book. Prepare product quality documents focus on customer requirement
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier\'s quality, cycle, and delivery performance
  • Manage supplier non-conformance and Deviation activities (SDR / NCR) ; identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Supplier onboarding Sub supplier Approval with joint Audit with End Client
  • Witnessing and validating type testing of product as per national and International standards.
  • Experience in Quality Inspection and Testing of Electrical BOP packages used in power station like HT/LT Motors, transformer, Unit Auxiliary Transformers, Excitation system, Excitation Transformer, Bus Duct, LV panels, MV panels, LV cables, MV cables, , Protection system, Battery charger, UPS, DCDB, CT/PT, Isolator, ACSR conductor, DG sets, and C&I items (transmitters, Gauges, RTD Thermocouples)
  • Raising devation request, preapring clarification and meeting with all stakeholder.
  • Perform SRG Audit, and Supplier Qualification Audit.
Supplier Continuous Improvement
  • Manage supplier non-conformance and Deviation activities; identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Conduct process capability analysis for Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics. Work with suppliers to improve process capability
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to improve part quality
  • Be involved into claim management process (ensure that all data needed for claim are available and relevant to launch recovery program)
  • Problem solving, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, RCA, Training & Development

  • On time Inspection (%)
  • Control on Escape Defect Level
  • Number of Supplier audit
  • Number of Stop the line / Quality alert
  • Defective inspection (%)
  • % of late NCR\xc2\xb4s per supplier / RPN risk priority number
Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Qualification:
  • Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electrical and Instrumentation.
  • Experience in Quality function of Electrical product Commodity Like Transformer/MV Panels/ Switchgears/Rotating Machine (Minimum 2 years of experience in case of Degree or minimum 5 year of experience in case of diploma).
  • Fluent English.
Eligibility:
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required (>40%).
Knowledge / Experience:

Mandatory:
  • Experience in manufacturing process and inspection of critical Electrical BoP
Optional:
  • Additional languages skills would be a plus (Spanish, German\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Office software (Excel, Power Point, SaP,\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Quality system - ISO 9000
  • Knowledge of international standard (such as ISO/DIN e.g).
