This is how we enable sustainable mobility and help to prevent accidents caused by human error.Your Rolexc2xb7 Serve as the primary Purchasing supplier quality liaison between Operation and the Supplierxc2xb7 Ensure purchased productive parts are approved and production readyxc2xb7 Work with buyers to assess and select new and capable suppliersxc2xb7 Serve as technical resource to Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineerxc2xb7 Assess purchase productive part suppliers to determine whether the suppliers quality system is acceptable with final approval from experienced Advanced Quality Engineer or supervisorxc2xb7 Approve sourcing decisions from a quality perspectivexc2xb7 Implement, facilitate and ensure completion of the APQP process with selected suppliers including final part approval of assigned regional commoditiesxc2xb7 Bench marking suppliers processes and capabilitiesxc2xb7 Ensure that the suppliers productive capacity meets divisional requirementsxc2xb7 Provide technical assistance to supplier quality engineers and engineeringxc2xb7 Meet core competency expectationsxc2xb7 Special assignmentYour BackgroundKey ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ EngineeringAbout 8 years of experience in Engineering preferredBasic software awareness (MS office)Commodity and Process knowledge preferredAbility to facilitate most conflict situations and/or appropriately seek immediate supervisors assistanceDemonstrate knowledge of relevant Purchasing procedures and knowledge of all Purchasing proceduresFunctions independently with minimal supervision and some technical guidanceAdvanced SPC techniquesApply innovation in problem solvingResponsible for suppliers with medium complex parts and/or suppliers with average quality systemsProficient in print reading and interpretation of specification skillsProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively organize and planAbility to facilitate conflict situations with peers independentlyGood presentation skillsFamiliar to IATF, IATF certified auditorReports To: Manager, Supplier Quality EngineeringWhy join us?You can grow at Aptiv.Aptiv provides an inclusive work environment where all individuals can grow and develop, regardless of gender, ethnicity or beliefs.You can have an impact.
