Supplier Perf. & Project Mgr., R&D Location - Hyderabad #LI Hybrid About the Role: This role mainly involves serving as a PMO for R&D Procurement, directing strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects, including supplier rationalization and productivity improvement. A strategic and analytical mind with experience in management consulting is desirable. The position acts as a liaison between strategic vendors and the business, aiming to provide excellent service to stakeholders and ensure a consistent approach across business units with Novartis\'s global suppliers. The role involves strengthening relationships with tier 1 suppliers to enhance value creation, product quality, supply performance, innovation, and engagement, positioning Novartis as a priority customer. Collaboration with Procurement teams and suppliers is key to drive value post-contract, achieved by managing continuous improvement initiatives, innovation activities, and improvement projects, particularly focusing on global tier 1 suppliers. The role supports the Procurement leadership team, enhancing productivity and strategy, and oversees global procurement projects. The person in this role is also responsible for partnering with a global Procurement tower to manage a project portfolio. Key Responsibilities: . This role involves a wide array of responsibilities, which can be broadly categorized under Suppliers\' governance: contribute to build-up and manage appropriate governance to ensure delivery of Novartis ambition, ensure global agenda is in place and executed . Strategic Planning: The role is accountable for partnering with a global Procurement tower to manage a project portfolio, developing procurement vision and strategy, mapping the value chain, understanding cost models . Financial Management: Participating in and/or leading financial discussions and applying financial knowledge in the budgeting process, tax aspects in sourcing strategies, and structuring deals with partners. . Relationship Management: Achieving results by proactively building long-term, sustainable, and effective relationships, understanding the stakeholder landscape, business, targets, organization and footprint within Novartis, . Project and Change Management: This involves planning, organizing, and managing projects, embracing and shaping change, and applying systematic change management methods to facilitate change. . Procurement Excellence & Standardization: Responsible for building the Networking Framework, promoting shared rules of engagement, centralizing and maintaining knowledge base for assigned categories, standardizing regulatory documentation, and ensuring effective management of supplier relationships. . Demonstrating political astuteness across business structures and networks, providing supplier management training and expertise leading to improvement and transformation activities. Efficient project delivery by ensuring all external solutions are provided in a timely manner, with the requisite quality, and within budget, as confirmed by the business. . Demonstrable and ongoing process enhancement & compliance assurance and Apprehension of Procurement KPIs pertaining to market insights, price and demand progression, as well as procurement\'s overall performance. . Compliance & Risk Management: This involves supporting reports to determine appropriate compliance levels, monitoring end-to-end compliance, and applying risk management processes including identifying and evaluating risks, and defining and executing risk mitigation plans. . Data Analysis & Reporting: Managing data analysis such as analyzing spend, demand, supply markets, and competitors. Extracting and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage, e.g., in category strategies. . Procurement Tools and Content Management: Ability to navigate procurement tools, expertise in procurement data structure, and maintaining and updating procurement applications. The role is also responsible for continuous improvement of procurement content and automation. . 5-10 years of relevant business experience (industry-specific experience). Strong project management or other leadership experience. Desirable Requirements: .
