Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily plumbing installation activities including water supply, drainage, vent lines, medical gas (if applicable), pumps, sumps, and sanitary fixtures. Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications. Verify installation quality and ensure correct alignment, slopes, pipe supports, and jointing methods (PVC/CPVC/HDPE/GI/DI/etc.). Oversee installation of plumbing equipment such as pumps, water tanks, heaters, filtration units, etc. Allocate tasks to plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors. Monitor productivity and ensure manpower is utilized effectively. Provide technical guidance and on-site training when needed. Interact with civil, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow. Attend site coordination meetings and report daily progress/issues to engineers. Ensure required materials, fittings, and tools are available at the site. Raise material requests based on work requirements. Maintain proper storage and handling of pipes, valves, fixtures, and consumables. Ensure installation conforms to IS codes, project specifications, and hospital standards. Conduct checks for leakages, pressure testing, and system validations. Assist engineers in pressure tests, flushing, chlorination, and commissioning procedures. Resolve snags raised during inspections and testing.

Qualifications & Skills:

ITI/Diploma in Plumbing/Mechanical Engineering . 2-4 years of experience as a Plumbing Supervisor in MEP contracting; hospital project experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems: water supply, drainage, venting, pumps, sanitary fixtures, water treatment, pump rooms, etc. Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings (IFC/shop/as-built). Familiar with safety protocols and QA/QC procedures.
