• Coordinate, supervise and is accountable for the daily/weekly/monthly activities of a team members
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met, such as Quality, Adherence, Service Level and AHT
• Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
• Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members, including formal corrective action
• Conduct regular performance reviews for team members
• Provide expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers
• Assists with other ad hoc responsibilities deemed necessary by his/her supervisors
• Drive performance of team members to meet and exceed client expectations and SLAs
• Monitor team quality and productivity on daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Conducts coaching on performance and quality, weekly and monthly
• Monitor attendance, observe and address trends to minimize attrition
• Interact with client and onshore counterparts
• Manage client-level escalations, adjustments and requests
• Identify talents and produce next level-managers and leaders. Engage, equip and train coders to prepare them for their next role
• Perform audit of claims (as back up of SME) whenever needed and shares feedback with the team
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Soft Skills:

• Expertise in reading a medical record
• Coding proficiency (ICD, CPT etc.)
• Computer proficiency in operating Microsoft Office Applications
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Make a positive first impression and present a professional appearance
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Offers to help fellow employees whenever possible

Required Qualifications:

• CIC or CCS certified. If CIC certification is not yet done, candidate to be certified at business cost & contract agreement of 2 years will be associated with certification
• RN Or Strong background in US Health claims area knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Coding experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor on paper handling teams for US Healthcare or coding
