Position Title: Upholstery Supervisor
Department: Upholstery
Reporting To: HOD - Upholstery / Production Manager
Location: Gurugram
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Objective:

To supervise and coordinate daily upholstery operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely execution of production tasks in alignment with company standards and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and allocate daily upholstery tasks among team members as per production targets.

Supervise cutting, stitching, and covering activities for chairs, sofas, panels, and other furniture items.

Ensure material utilization (fabric, foam, adhesive, etc.) is optimized and wastage minimized.

Check product quality at each stage -- from frame preparation to final finish.

Ensure adherence to design specifications, measurements, and finishing standards.

Train and guide upholsterers for improved skills and productivity.

Maintain tools, machinery, and workstation cleanliness as per safety norms.

Coordinate with the Quality and Dispatch teams for final inspection and delivery schedules.

Report daily progress, issues, and manpower status to the HOD or Production Manager.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of furniture upholstery techniques and materials.

Leadership and team-handling skills.

Attention to detail and quality orientation.

Time management and problem-solving ability.

Familiarity with production reporting and basic documentation.

Qualification & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Furniture, Upholstery, or related field.
4-7 years of experience in furniture manufacturing (minimum 2 years in a supervisory role).
