The Supervisor oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of housekeeping, security, and maintenance services to ensure the smooth functioning, cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the campus/building premises. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and security through effective team management, vendor coordination, and compliance with organizational and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Housekeeping Management:
Supervise daily cleaning operations across all areas of the campus/building.
Ensure timely cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, offices, lobbies, and outdoor areas.
Inspect cleanliness standards regularly and address any shortfalls.
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and ensure proper usage.
2. Security Oversight:
Monitor performance of security personnel.
Ensure safety protocols, visitor management, and access control are followed.
Conduct regular security audits and report irregularities.
Coordinate with external security agencies and local authorities when required.
3. Maintenance & Repairs:
Schedule and oversee routine building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency repairs.
Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing repair or upgrades.
Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
4. Team & Vendor Management:
Supervise housekeeping staff, security guards, and maintenance personnel.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced services.
Ensure staff follow safety, hygiene, and operational protocols.
5. Facility Monitoring & Reporting:
Prepare reports on facility conditions, incidents, and work completion.
Maintain logs and documentation of maintenance schedules, service reports, and staff attendance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma or Bachelor's in Facility Management or related field preferred).
3-5 years of experience in facilities or building management supervision.
Strong knowledge of housekeeping, security systems, and general maintenance.
Ability to manage a team and coordinate with multiple service providers.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with facility management software (preferred).
Preferred Qualities:
Eye for detail and cleanliness.
Assertive and proactive in resolving operational issues.
Calm under pressure, especially during emergencies.
Knowledge of statutory compliance (fire safety, sanitation, labour regulations).
Working Conditions:
On-site presence required across the campus/building facilities.
May involve shift work, weekend duties, or emergency availability.
Physically active role requiring frequent walking and inspections.
