Job Description

A Logistics Supervisor oversees the daily operations of supply chain and logistics activities, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials. They manage staff, coordinate with various teams, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. They may be responsible for tasks like scheduling deliveries, resolving delivery issues, and optimizing order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities of a Logistics Supervisor:

Overseeing Operations:

Managing the day-to-day operations of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

Staff Management:

Supervising and coordinating the work of logistics staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

Coordination and Communication:

Working with various departments, carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving issues related to logistics, transportation, and customer service.

Process Improvement:

Developing and implementing strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, transportation guidelines, and other relevant standards.

Reporting and Metrics:

Maintaining records, reports, and metrics related to logistics performance.
Skills and Qualifications:

Strong Leadership and Team Management:

Ability to motivate and direct staff, effectively delegate tasks, and build a high-performing team.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
