Key Responsibilities:

Supervision:

Leading and managing plant operators and maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Operations Management:

Overseeing daily operations of the STP, including monitoring treatment processes, ensuring optimal performance, and adjusting settings as needed.

Maintenance Management:

Developing and implementing maintenance schedules for equipment, conducting routine inspections, and coordinating repairs or replacements.

Compliance:

Ensuring the plant operates within environmental regulations and safety guidelines, monitoring water quality, and maintaining accurate records.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and resolving operational issues, addressing alarms, and responding to emergencies.

Reporting:

Preparing reports on plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulations.

Budget Management:

May be involved in managing the plant's budget for maintenance, supplies, and other operational expenses.

Safety:

Implementing and enforcing safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Process Optimization:

Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment processes.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and related technologies.

Supervisory Skills:

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of employees.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve operational issues and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and regulatory agencies.

Record Keeping:

Ability to maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance data.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to wastewater treatment plants.
