Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise installation of fire protection systems including: Sprinkler systems Hydrant & standpipe systems Hose reels and extinguishers Fire pumps and pump rooms Fire alarm and detection systems Ensure all works are executed according to approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications. Monitor pipe routing, equipment placement, alignment, levels, and proper installation of fittings and accessories. Oversee the installation of fire suppression panels, control valves, and piping networks. Allocate tasks to fitters, helpers, and subcontractors effectively. Coordinate with Fire Protection Engineers and site management for design clarifications. Ensure availability of required materials, tools, and equipment on site. Manage proper storage, handling, and issuance of fire protection materials. Ensure installation complies with NFPA, IS codes, NBC standards, and hospital-specific fire safety requirements. Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper use of PPE. Assist in hydrostatic and pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Fire Protection / MEP discipline (preferred). 2-4 years of experience as Fire Protection Supervisor in MEP contracting; hospital project experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret fire protection shop drawings, schematics, and specifications. Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and site safety protocols.
