Proxy Teacher / Substitute Teacher

This position requires an individual to provide temporary teaching assistance in various classrooms and subject areas. The successful candidate will be able to quickly adapt to different lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour, and engage students effectively.

Responsibilities:

Follow established lesson plans or create short, engaging lesson plans as needed.

Deliver instruction in a clear and effective manner, adapting to the specific needs of the students.

Ensure students understand the material being taught and provide assistance when needed.

Communicate effectively with the regular teacher, principal, and other staff.

Participate in school events and activities.

Perform other tasks as needed to support the school's mission.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience working with students in an educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and classroom environments.

Positive attitude and a commitment to student success.

Skills:

Classroom management techniques, Engaging teaching strategies, Ability to differentiate instruction, Effective communication skills, and Strong organizational skills.

Additional Notes:

This position may require working with different grade levels and subject areas.

The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and available on short notice.

Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching lessons.
