We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Domain Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a strategic data warehouse modernization initiative. The SME will provide domain expertise for EHR workflows and data models, guiding data ingestion, modeling, and integration across leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This role is critical in ensuring semantic consistency and alignment of clinical and patient intake data workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the domain expert for healthcare data, focusing on:
Clinical workflows : clinical orders, surgeries, allergies, assessments, scoring, and related data.
Patient intake workflows : scheduling, appointments, and administrative processes.
Analyze and interpret EHR -specific data models to facilitate ingestion into the enterprise data warehouse.
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate data mappings and workflow alignment.
Document and validate mappings across various EHR systems and clinical domains.
Support ETL, reporting, and data governance activities related to healthcare data.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in healthcare data modeling, ETL, and reporting related to EHR systems.
Hands-on expertise with at least one or two of the following EHR platforms:
Cerner, Epic, Meditech, McKesson, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, Athena.
Strong understanding of ETL processes, healthcare data governance, and interoperability standards.
Proven experience with healthcare data warehousing or EHR interoperability projects.
Ability to interpret complex clinical data structures and translate them into actionable data models.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with clinical informatics teams or healthcare IT platforms.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD, and others.
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Familiarity with healthcare workflow optimization and process automation.
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
