Academic Curriculum Developer (SME)

plays a critical role in developing educational content and curriculum materials for an entrance coaching platform. They are responsible for providing expertise in a specific subject area and ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of study materials designed to help students prepare for entrance exams in the areas of Quantitative Ability.

Job Roles:

1. Content Development:

Develop comprehensive study materials, including textbooks, study guides, practice tests, online resources, detailed class notes, question-answer keys and detailed solutions for the tests and exams for Quantitative Ability. Create engaging, interactive content that aligns with curriculum objectives and exam requirements. Collaborate with instructional designers and content developers to ensure the quality and effectiveness of educational materials.

2. Curriculum Design:

Analyse the syllabus and exam patterns of various entrance exams to identify key concepts, topics, and question types of Quantitative Ability Design curriculum frameworks and course outlines that cover the necessary content and skills required for exam success. Develop instructional strategies and learning activities to facilitate student comprehension and retention of subject matter.

3. Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of educational content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with curriculum standards. Perform quality checks on study materials to identify errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies and make necessary corrections. Solicit feedback from students, instructors, and subject matter experts to continuously improve the quality and relevance of study materials. Produce genuine, researched and updated materials, notes, questions and solutions for the students from Quantitative Ability.

4. Exam Analysis and Strategy:

Analyse past exam papers and trends to identify patterns and types of questions in the areas of Quantitative Ability Develop effective exam strategies and techniques to help students improve their performance and achieve their target scores. Provide guidance and support to students in understanding exam formats, time management strategies, and scoring criteria.

5. Subject Expertise:

Demonstrate deep knowledge and expertise in a specific subject area in Quantitative Ability Stay updated with the latest developments, research findings, and best practices in Quantitative Ability to ensure subject matter relevance. Serve as a resource and mentor to instructors, students, and other team members on subject-related queries and concepts.

Job Specifications:

Education:

A Master's degree or higher in the relevant subject area is required. A

Master's degree

PhD

is preferred.

UGC NTA/NET

or

JRF

qualified candidates.

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching, curriculum development, or educational/academic content creation of Quantitative Ability with 1-2 years of experience. Experience with

entrance exam coaching

is a plus. Subject Expertise: Proficiency in the specific subject area and a demonstrated track record of academic excellence. Strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills are essential.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively convey complex concepts and ideas to students and colleagues.
