They are highly regarded in their field for their in-depth understanding, specialized skills, and ability to provide accurate insights.

Examples of Academic SMEs:

1. Professors and Researchers: Academics who have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on a particular topic.

2. Practitioners with Academic Roles: Professionals with hands-on experience who contribute to academic discourse, e.g., a forensic scientist teaching at a university.

Responsibilities:

- Developing Course Material: Crafting and reviewing syllabi, lectures, and assessments.
