Role Overview

MySkool Learning Pvt Ltd is seeking an academically strong and research-oriented

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Philosophy (Social Background)

to join our growing academic content and curriculum team. This role focuses on creating high-quality conceptual, analytical, and digital learning content related to Philosophy, Social Thought, Ethics, Culture, Society, and related interdisciplinary domains.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in

Philosophy, Sociology, Political Theory, or Social Sciences

, with a passion for making these concepts accessible and engaging for learners through an LMS environment.

This is a

content creation and academic leadership

role--NOT simply classroom teaching.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum & Framework Development

Develop structured learning frameworks for Philosophy and Social Thought aligned to academic levels (K-12, foundation, undergrad preparatory). Map learning outcomes, scope and sequence, conceptual pathways, and competency frameworks. Align content to national and international education standards (CBSE Humanities, ICSE, IGCSE Humanities, NEP-aligned competencies where applicable).

2. Content Creation & Instructional Design

Create high-quality academic content, including: Concept notes & modules Reading passages & interpretations Lesson plans & learning paths Case studies & real-world applications Student worksheets and practice tasks Ethical dilemmas, thought experiments & reflection exercises Digital scripts for videos, animations, online lessons Translate complex philosophical and social theories into simple, clear, learner-friendly explanations.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

Develop question banks, quizzes, assignments, and assessment frameworks. Create rubrics for critical thinking, reasoning, reflection, and discourse-based skills. Evaluate and refine assessment items for accuracy, cognitive level, and clarity.

4. Research & Academic Rigor

Conduct ongoing research on classical and modern philosophers across traditions (Indian, Western, Asian, Middle-Eastern, Indigenous). Integrate key themes from: Ethics Social philosophy Political theory Cultural studies Religion and society Identity, power, and social structures Ensure all content is culturally sensitive, contextually relevant, and pedagogically sound.

5. Quality Review & Collaboration

Review and validate content created by content developers or junior writers. Ensure academic accuracy, conceptual depth, and age-appropriate delivery. Collaborate closely with: Academics Head Content Designers Media Team Video Creators Instructional Designers Support in converting text content into visual formats for LMS (animations, videos, infographics).

6. Support for LMS Publishing

Adapt content for digital learning formats, including: Interactive modules Micro learning units Scenario-based learning Reflections, activities, and discussions Ensure all content meets LMS readability, engagement, and accessibility standards.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Philosophy, Social Sciences, Sociology, Political Science, Humanities, or related fields. Strong foundation in Social Philosophy, Ethics, Culture, Society, Human Behaviour, and Thought Traditions. 3-8 years of experience in teaching, academic writing, LMS content development, or curriculum design. Excellent English writing and academic communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in EdTech / LMS content creation Understanding of instructional design & digital pedagogy Ability to simplify abstract philosophical concepts Strong research and analytical skills Ability to create engaging academic narratives and real-life examples Familiarity with K-12 or UG-level philosophy/ethics frameworks Collaboration with multimedia teams (video scripts, voiceovers, visuals)
