Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Physics
to join our academic content team. The SME will be responsible for reviewing, proofreading, and validating Physics content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and strict alignment with the ICSE curriculum.
The role involves verifying theoretical explanations, numerical problems, diagrams, and solutions in accordance with the latest ICSE syllabus, examination pattern, and marking schemes. This is a remote, freelance role with flexible working hours, subject to clearly defined deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Review and proofread ICSE Physics content for conceptual accuracy, scientific correctness, and curriculum alignment.
Verify numerical problems, derivations, diagrams, units, and final answers as per ICSE guidelines.
Ensure content aligns with the latest ICSE syllabus, examination pattern, and marking schemes.
Identify and correct conceptual, factual, numerical, and typographical errors.
Ensure consistency in terminology, symbols, units, formatting, and solution methodology.
Work closely with the editorial and content development teams to maintain Almond Books' academic standards.
Complete assigned reviews within agreed timelines.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all academic materials by signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics or a closely related discipline.
Strong and up-to-date understanding of the ICSE Physics curriculum and assessment framework.
Prior experience in textbook writing, academic proofreading, content review, or teaching ICSE Physics is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient written English with the ability to provide clear and precise corrections or feedback.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
Compensation
Payment on a per-page basis, determined by the volume and quality of work completed.
Work Arrangement
Fully remote, work from anywhere.
Availability required to complete assigned tasks within agreed deadlines.
