The SME - English is responsible for developing high-quality academic content, reviewing manuscripts, ensuring curriculum alignment, and supporting the creation of engaging learning materials. The role requires a strong command of English language concepts, excellent writing/editing skills, and the ability to create error-free, student-friendly content.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and edit English academic content for classes (as per requirement - K-12 / Competitive Exams).
Ensure all content aligns with syllabus guidelines (CBSE/ICSE/State Boards).
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question banks, and answer keys.
Improve existing content by making it more engaging, accurate, and learner-centric.
Collaborate with the design and editorial teams for layout, visuals, and formatting.
Conduct quality checks to ensure grammatical accuracy and concept clarity.
Provide subject expertise during product development and teacher training (if required).
Stay updated with changes in curriculum trends and modern teaching methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field.
Strong command over grammar, vocabulary, and English pedagogy.
Proven experience as SME, Teacher, Content Writer, or Editor (preferred).
Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Workspace).

Familiarity with NCERT/CBSE curriculum.
