Subject Matter Expert - English Quality
Description
Position Summary
As an SME-Quality, you will assist the Quality efforts within the English team with the goal of reducing errors, thereby improving the performance of our inhouse editors, freelance editors, and vendors; as well as strategize to improve and maintain the overall quality and versatility of our subtitling resource pool. Additionally, look to suggest ways to utilize the platform to increase an editor's efficiency, working with the internal teams and Product teams to drive process improvements.
Outcomes and Accomplishments
As an SME, you will:Monitor and respond to quality escalations from redeliveries, CARs, TEARs, production teams and Editors.
Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of errors leading to rejections and client complaints and proposing preventive actions in collaboration with the Resource Management Team, Operations team and the Quality Managers.
Identify and analyze English quality trends and develop and implement preventive measures in collaboration with the Resource Management Team and the Quality Managers to suggest targeted training for inhouse editors, freelance editors, and vendors.
Identifying areas of improvement within the SFERA platform to scale up an editor's performance, whilst adhering to the Quality expectation.
Provide constructive feedback to English subtitlers and vendors and engage with them to determine root causes for errors. Proactively follow up on responses and monitor progress.
Work with the Supplier Management Team to develop freelance talent.
Based on trends and performance metrics, make recommendations for English subtitler's participation in or removal from client-specific programs and classify linguists according to quality tier.
Represent the English Linguistic Quality team in conference calls and projects.
Responsible for working on Editorial's monthly IMR daily.
Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports.
Other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
