We are seeking a meticulous and creative

Sub-Editor/Copy Editor

to join our editorial team for English Magazine "Business News For Profit". The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, an eye for detail, and a passion for producing high-quality, error-free content. You will be responsible for editing, proofreading, fact-checking, and ensuring consistency in tone, style, and accuracy across all articles before publication.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy. Ensure that all content adheres to the publication's style guide, tone, and editorial standards. Rewrite or restructure copy when necessary to improve clarity, flow, and engagement. Work closely with writers and reporters to refine stories and headlines. Check facts, statistics, and sources to maintain content credibility. Prepare content for both print and digital formats, ensuring SEO-friendly practices for web articles. Coordinate with designers for layout and headline placement in print editions. Ensure deadlines are met and content schedules are maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in editing, publishing, or journalism (fresh graduates with strong skills may also apply). Excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail. Familiarity with agency feeds like IANS style guides preferred. Basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing tools (WordPress, CMS, etc.). Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments.
