As a Learning Mentor, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting students through their academic and personal development journeys. You will collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to create a nurturing environment where each learner can thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mentorship & Student Development
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage motivation, confidence, and well-being.
Lead and participate in co-curricular and character-building activities that support holistic growth.
Work closely with academic staff to identify and respond to students' emotional or behavioral needs.
Serve as a positive role model and first line of support for students facing challenges.
2. Academic Oversight & Support
Regularly monitor student academic performance to identify strengths and learning gaps.
Conduct informal assessments and mentoring sessions to provide academic reinforcement.
Assist in designing and implementing tailored learning plans for students needing extra support.
Track follow-ups to ensure consistent improvement in targeted academic areas.
3. Parent Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings to provide insights from a mentorship perspective.
Offer actionable strategies to parents for supporting academic and personal development at home.
Build rapport with families to foster a collaborative student support ecosystem.
4. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of student attendance, academic milestones, mentoring sessions, and behavioral observations.
Use student data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies accordingly.
Leverage digital tools and platforms for efficient tracking and reporting of student progress.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with school protocols.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Ability to understand and analyze student behavior and academic performance.
Comfortable working collaboratively across academic, administrative, and parent networks.
Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, student management systems, and basic reporting tools.
