A Student Mentor is responsible for guiding, supporting, and motivating students to achieve their academic, personal, and career goals. The role includes providing emotional support, academic advice, and encouragement to help students overcome challenges and succeed in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic and personal guidance to students.
Help students set short- and long-term goals and develop action plans to achieve them.
Conduct regular one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback and encouragement.
Identify students' individual needs and refer them to appropriate resources (counselors, tutors, etc.).
Support students in building confidence, time management, and study skills.
Maintain documentation of interactions and progress.
Communicate regularly with faculty, staff, and parents when required.
Organize or support motivational sessions, workshops, and peer learning groups.
Encourage positive behavior, discipline, and attendance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or student support roles is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach.
Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality.
