Job Description

Position Title:

Academic Mentor - Hybrid

Role Overview

The Hybrid Mentor plays a vital role in guiding and supporting students throughout their academic journey. This role involves identifying learning gaps, implementing corrective strategies, fostering discipline, and enabling holistic development through structured monitoring, mentoring, and consistent engagement with both students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Monitoring & Evaluation

Stay updated on daily academic schedules, ongoing chapters, and upcoming lessons to proactively assist students. Track and evaluate student performance through DPPs (Daily Practice Problems), DTS (Daily Test Series), and CWEs (Chapter-Wise Exams). Analyze performance trends--improvement, decline, or stagnation--and provide actionable insights. Investigate discrepancies (e.g., strong DPP scores but weak DTS results) to identify root causes. Identify underperforming students and implement targeted strategies for improvement. Conduct doubt-clearing sessions after DTS and ensure DPP corrections are completed within 24-48 hours. Coordinate weekly tests and GIB activities to strengthen academic monitoring and engagement. Oversee hostel rounds, ensuring discipline and adherence to organizational guidelines. Provide motivation, encouragement, and personal support to help students stay focused.

2. Hybrid Learning & App Utilization

Guide students in effectively using app features, including doubt discussion forums. Communicate the hybrid learning model (online + offline) to students and parents, emphasizing its flexibility, benefits, and effectiveness. Ensure active participation and consistent engagement in both online and offline classes.

3. Student Mentoring & Communication

Mentor students struggling with timetable adherence by reinforcing structure and discipline. Track and address absenteeism in DTS by arranging make-up sessions and identifying recurring patterns. Maintain accurate and timely records of DTS performance, student progress, feedback, and interactions with parents.

4. Parent Communication

Clearly explain the program's structure, objectives, and student progress. Build trust with parents by providing regular updates on attendance, test results, and overall improvement. Address fee-related matters, ensure timely fee collection, and update the portal with accurate records.
