Key Responsibilities1. Student Guidance & Career Counselling
Guide students on suitable IT courses based on interests, skills, and career goals.
Evaluate academic qualifications and learning styles to recommend the right training paths.
Assist students in planning academic and career goals with achievable strategies.
Provide one-on-one and group counselling for academic, personal, and career concerns.
Offer empathetic, confidential, and non-judgmental support.
Conduct assessments and help students improve study techniques, time management, and learning skills.
Deliver workshops on IT career paths, job roles, resume building, and interview skills.
Provide resources and referrals for further academic or emotional support.
2. Admissions & Lead Management
Handle inquiries through calls, walk-ins, emails, and WhatsApp.
Manage the full admission cycle including counselling, applications, assessments, and enrollment.
Conduct timely follow-ups and convert leads into admissions.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records and counselling documents.
3. Student Well-being & Behavioral Support
Support students facing stress, anxiety, academic pressure, or behavioral issues.
Conduct drug and alcohol prevention programs and wellness activities.
Promote a healthy, positive learning environment.
Refer students to external mental health professionals when required.
4. Program & Academic Support
Assist with student registration, onboarding, and batch allocation.
Track student progress, attendance, and performance and provide necessary interventions.
Conduct informational sessions on IT courses, certifications, and industry readiness.
5. Collaboration & Relationship Management
Collaborate with trainers, academic teams, and administrative staff.
Build strong relationships with parents and faculty to support student development.
Work with marketing teams on admission campaigns, webinars, and outreach activities.
Represent the institution at education fairs, seminars, and career events.
6. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain CRM systems and update all student and lead records.
Generate regular reports on admissions, counselling sessions, and student performance.
Analyze trends to improve counselling effectiveness and enrollment strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in
Education, Psychology, IT, Marketing, or related fields
.
3-5 years of experience in
student counselling, IT training, academic advising, or admissions
.
Basic understanding of IT/software courses.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Strong communication, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
