Offer emotional support and help students build confidence, self-esteem, and positive habits.
2. Counseling & Problem-Solving
Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to identify students' concerns.
Address issues related to peer pressure, anxiety, family problems, and learning difficulties.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive student information.
3. Academic Monitoring
Monitor the academic progress and attendance of students.
Identify slow learners and coordinate with faculty to provide remedial measures.
Guide students in setting academic goals and improving performance.
4. Career Guidance & Planning
Provide information about higher studies, career paths, skill development, and training programs.
Organize career counselling workshops, seminars, and orientation programs.
Assist students in choosing courses, internships, and job opportunities.
5. Student Well-Being & Development
Promote mental wellness, emotional intelligence, and positive behaviour among students.
Conduct sessions on time management, communication skills, and stress management.
Create awareness regarding health, safety, and social responsibility.
6. Parent-Teacher Coordination
Communicate with parents regarding students' issues, progress, or behavioural concerns.
Arrange parent meetings when needed to ensure collective support for student development.
Work with teachers to resolve classroom-related concerns.
7. Crisis Intervention
Provide immediate support to students facing emergencies or severe emotional distress.
Take necessary action in cases involving bullying, harassment, substance abuse, or risky behaviour.
Ensure timely referral to professional psychologists or external experts if needed.
8. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions, interventions, and student progress.
Prepare periodic reports for management on student welfare initiatives.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and ethical standards.
9. Institutional Support
Participate in student orientation, induction programs, and awareness campaigns.
Collaborate with academic departments, hostel wardens, and administrative staff.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment.
