Student Counsellor
to support our students' academic, emotional, and career journeys.
Role Overview
As a Student Counsellor at AIMS, you will play a crucial role in providing emotional, academic, and career-related guidance to students. You will act as a bridge between the students and the institution, ensuring a healthy, motivating, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and group counselling to students on academic, personal, and emotional challenges.
Assist students in goal setting, career planning, and academic decision-making.
Identify at-risk students and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
Collaborate with faculty and management to address student concerns.
Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and awareness programs on mental health and wellbeing.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
Prepare and maintain records of counselling sessions and submit periodic reports.
Promote a positive and supportive campus culture through proactive engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a student or academic counsellor (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Malayalam.
Empathetic, patient, and approachable personality.
Ability to handle sensitive issues and manage crisis situations with discretion.
Tech-savvy with basic reporting and documentation skills.
