Job Description

The Student Counselor provides academic, career, and personal guidance to students to support their educational success, emotional well-being, and personal development. The counselor works closely with students, parents, faculty, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment and to address academic, behavioral, and social challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, social, and emotional issues Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and study skills Offer career guidance, including career exploration, course selection, and post-graduation planning Identify students facing academic or emotional difficulties and develop intervention plans Conduct assessments, maintain student records, and prepare progress reports Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development Organize workshops and programs on stress management, mental health, career readiness, and life skills Refer students to external professionals or support services when necessary Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional counseling standards Stay updated on counseling best practices, educational policies, and student welfare guidelines
