As a Student Counselor, you will be the face of SMEClabs for prospective students. Your goal is to guide candidates through our IT, technical and management course offerings, helping them choose programs that align with their career aspirations while meeting organizational enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Counseling & Sales
Conduct detailed counseling sessions with students and parents (via phone, video, or in-person) to explain course modules, certifications, and career outcomes.
Convert high-quality leads into successful enrollments to achieve monthly targets.
Manage the complete sales cycle: from initial inquiry to fee collection and batch allocation.
2. Revenue & Incentive Management
Actively work towards maximizing incentive earnings by exceeding enrollment quotas.
Implement "Upselling" and "Cross-selling" strategies for programs.
3. Student Relationship Management
Act as a dedicated advisor, providing clarity on NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) alignments and international accreditation.
Follow up consistently with prospective leads using CRM tools.
Educational & Skill Requirements
Experience:
1-3 years of proven experience in Academic Counselling, EdTech Sales, or Career Advising.
Technical Familiarity:
Basic understanding of IT/Technical/Management terms to effectively communicate course value.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.
Negotiation:
Strong persuasion and closing skills with a "consultative selling" approach.
