Job Description

A student counsellor's primary duties involve supporting students' academic, emotional, and social well-being. This includes providing guidance on academic goals, career paths, and personal challenges, as well as mediating conflicts and connecting students with necessary resources. Specific Responsibilities:

Academic Guidance:

Helping students with course selection, academic planning, and strategies for improving performance.

Career Counseling:

Assisting students in exploring career interests, developing skills, and preparing for post-secondary education and careers.

Personal Counseling:

Providing a safe and supportive environment for students to address emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.

Conflict Resolution:

Mediation and resolution of conflicts between students, students and teachers, or students and parents.

Resource Referral:

Connecting students and their families with appropriate resources for mental health, substance abuse, or other support services.

Advocacy:
