Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:

Creating structural designs for various projects, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and performing calculations to assess load-bearing capacity, stability, and rigidity.

Material Selection:

Choosing appropriate materials for construction based on project requirements, considering factors like strength, durability, and cost.

Construction Oversight:

Monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.

Collaboration:

Working closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop cohesive and efficient designs.

Report Preparation:

Creating detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects.

Risk Assessment:

Identifying potential hazards and designing solutions to mitigate risks associated with structural failures.

Inspections and Assessments:

Conducting site inspections and structural assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with regulations.

Troubleshooting:

Investigating and diagnosing structural issues and recommending repairs or modifications.

Project Management:

Managing projects, administering contracts, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
