Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:

Structural engineers design the structural framework of buildings and bridges, ensuring they can withstand forces like gravity, wind, and earthquakes. They analyze structural components, calculate loads and stresses, and use computer-aided design software (CAD) to create detailed drawings and models.

Material Selection:

They choose appropriate materials based on strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness, considering factors like sustainability and building codes.

Collaboration:

Structural engineers work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure designs meet client needs and comply with regulations.

Site Visits and Inspections:

They may conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and identify potential issues during construction.

Technical Expertise:

They provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the construction process.
