Job Description

Design and analyze structural components and systems for buildings and other structures.

Evaluate the strength and stability of existing and/or proposed new structures using engineering principles and methods.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations, including US Standards such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Design Manual, TMS 402, and NDS.

Understand project requirements and provide design approach accordingly, recognizing that all projects are different.

Prepare structural calculation package, project specifications, reports and design documents and sketches.

Manage engineering and drafting team to develop structural design and produce drawings.

Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractor and other stake holder via calls, emails

Attend project meetings and actively participate when required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in managing USA-based projects or relevant

Experience with at least two of the four primary construction materials: steel, concrete, wood, and masonry, with at lease 1-2 project experiences in each.
