Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Structural Design Engineer

to work on the structural design and analysis of

California-based projects

. The role involves preparing structural calculations, drawings, and design coordination for primarily

wood-framed structures

, with exposure to seismic and wind design as per US codes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with

international projects and US engineering standards

.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design for

residential and low-rise buildings

located in California.

Design

wood-framed structures

, including gravity and lateral force-resisting systems such as

shear walls, diaphragms, and hold-downs

.

For

multi-family projects

, carry out design of

concrete-framed structures

, including gravity and lateral systems such as

concrete and masonry shear walls, diaphragms, slabs, and columns

.

Prepare structural calculations in accordance with the

California Building Code (CBC)

and applicable US design standards, including

ASCE 7, AWC/NDS, and IBC

.

Develop, review, and update

structural drawings and details

for new construction, renovations, ADUs, and retrofit projects.

Assist with

seismic design

in high seismic zones, including

hillside developments and retrofitting of existing structures

.

Coordinate with architects, project managers, and

US-based teams

to address design queries and technical clarifications.

Revise designs in response to

plan check comments

, jurisdictional requirements, and client feedback.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
