Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings accurately
Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and assembling of structural steel components
Fabricate beams, columns, frames, platforms, ladders, handrails, and other structural items
Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper alignment during fabrication
Carry out tack welding as required (final welding as per qualification)
Inspect fabricated components for quality and compliance with drawings
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Coordinate with supervisors and quality teams to meet project timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of experience
as a Structural Fabricator
Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes
Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings
Experience using fabrication tools such as cutting machines, grinders, drills, and measuring instruments
Familiarity with safety standards and fabrication best practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in heavy fabrication, marine, or industrial projects
Basic welding knowledge (SMAW / MIG / FCAW is an advantage)
ITI / Diploma in Fabrication, Fitter, or Mechanical Trade preferred
Work Conditions
Workshop and site-based fabrication work
