Role Description

This is a full-time in office/on-site role for a

Structural Engineer

- Constructions located in Mumbai.

Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood and glass structures

Technical Competencies & Expertise

A Structural Engineer must demonstrate proficiency in the following domains:

1. Structural Design & Analysis

RCC , PEB & Steel structure design as per IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, IS 875),, IS 1893:2016,IS 800:2007,IS 801:1975,IS 875 (Part 1-5), MBMA / AISC (US Codes) Design of foundations, beams, columns, slabs, retaining walls, and staircases. Seismic and wind load analysis. Soil-structure interaction understanding. Structural retrofitting and strengthening methods.
2. Software Proficiency

Essential: STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD. Preferred: SAFE, SAP2000, Tekla, Revit, MS Excel (for design sheets), and BIM tools. Ability to generate analytical models and optimize design efficiency.
3. Construction & Detailing

Preparation and review of structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and reinforcement details. Coordination with architects and MEP consultants for structural compatibility. Site inspections to verify formwork, reinforcement, and concreting quality.
4. Code & Standards Knowledge

Indian Standards: IS 456, IS 3370, IS 800, IS 875 (Parts 1-5), IS 1893, IS 13920, SP34, NBC 2016. International familiarity (advantageous): ACI, BS, or Euro Codes.
5. Project Management & Documentation

Preparation of structural calculation reports, design notes, and technical presentations. Ability to lead structural audits and provide stability certificates. Cost optimization and value engineering while maintaining safety.
6) Demonstrate proficiency in

Analyze gravity and lateral load resisting systems

Design and detail structural elements

Create drawings and communicate with Drafting and BIM Department

Coordinate drawings with other disciplines (Architects, MEP Engineers, etc.)

Respond to RFI's and review drawings

Visit construction sites & drive progress and rectify process flows if any

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field Structural Analysis and Calculations skills Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering experience

Required Skillsets:

RCC & Steel Structure Design Foundation, Slab & Load Analysis (as per IS Codes) Earthquake-resistant detailing Preparation of Structural Drawings & BOQs Coordination with architects and site teams Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Experience with industry standards and regulations

EXPEREINCE:

Minimum 5 years of experience & 2 years in handling multiple sites .

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
