We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cold-Formed Steel Engineer to join our team. As a Cold-Formed Steel Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems made from cold-formed steel. You will work closely with engineers and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
Design and analyse cold-formed steel structures, in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
Perform structural analysis using engineering software and tools to assess the integrity and stability of cold-formed steel components under various load conditions.
Select appropriate cold-formed steel sections and materials based on project specifications, performance requirements, and cost considerations.
Ensure compliance with building CSI codes, regulations, and standards related to cold-formed steel design and construction.
Collaborate with project team and clients to develop comprehensive structural designs that meet project objectives.
Prepare detailed engineering shop drawings, specifications, and reports to document the design and analysis of cold-formed steel structures.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams during the implementation of cold-formed steel components.
Stay updated with industry advancements, research, and best practices in cold-formed steel design and construction.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
ME or MTech in Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience working as a Cold-Formed Steel Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, cold-formed steel design, and analysis techniques.
Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision in design and calculations.
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cold-formed steel engineering.
