Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Structural Draftsman / Draughtsman

to join our India office in Cochin, Kerala. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing structural drawings for engineering and construction projects, with a strong preference for those who have prior experience working in the UAE and are familiar with UAE standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed structural drawings and reinforcement detailing (GA, Sections, RCC Details, etc.) using AutoCAD and other drafting software as required. Interpret architectural and structural engineering markups and specifications to produce accurate structural layout plans. Coordinate with structural engineers and other team members to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with design requirements. Modify and update existing drawings as per client and engineer feedback. Ensure all drawings are produced and submitted in a timely and professional manner. Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions in accordance with project and company standards. Work on projects based on UAE codes, standards, and client requirements. Support the design team in preparing technical documentation for tenders and construction.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in structural drafting in a consulting or engineering firm.

UAE experience is highly preferred

; familiarity with UAE municipal requirements and standards (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, etc.) is a strong advantage. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

is a must. Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or other design software is a plus. Strong understanding of structural elements including concrete, steel, and foundation detailing. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
