Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Structural Draftsman or Engineer

with hands-on experience in

residential construction standards across the US and/or Australia

. The ideal candidate will be proficient in structural detailing, timber framing, and architectural coordination, with a strong grasp of regional codes and drafting workflows. This role demands precision, accountability, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

structural drawings and markups

for timber, steel, and concrete elements in residential buildings. Interpret architectural plans and translate them into

code-compliant structural layouts

. Develop

framing plans, beam schedules, footing details

, and connection diagrams. Ensure compliance with

AS/NZS standards (Australia)

and

IBC/AISC/ACI codes (US)

. Coordinate with architects, builders, and internal teams to resolve design conflicts. Apply

AutoCAD

,

Revit

, or other drafting tools to produce clear, buildable documentation. Review and revise drawings based on engineering feedback and site conditions. Maintain drawing standards, layer conventions, and file organization protocols. Support junior draftsmen through visual guides, glossaries, and training materials (if applicable).
Required Skills & Experience

Minimum

1 years

of drafting or structural engineering experience in

US or Australian residential projects

. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

, with working knowledge of

Revit

,

Bluebeam

, or similar tools. Familiarity with

timber framing

,

truss layouts

, and

load path design

. Understanding of

residential construction methods

, including slab-on-grade, pier foundations, and framing systems. Ability to read and interpret

architectural, structural, and civil drawings

. Knowledge of

local building codes

, permit documentation, and engineering markups. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to drawing clarity and accuracy. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
